Cash out of Sick Leave. Except for a Firefighter's retirement when Section 10.05 shall govern, one hundred (100%) percent of all unused sick leave credited to a Firefighter at the time of the Firefighter's death shall be paid to his/her surviving spouse at this hourly rate then in effect, provided, said Firefighter shall have the minimum of ten (10) years of service. If the Firefighter does not have a surviving spouse, it shall be paid to his/her estate.
Cash out of Sick Leave. Prior to the start of a new calendar year, Members may make in writing an Irrevocable Request to Cash Out Sick Leave for sick leave that will be earned the following calendar year. The amount requested shall be limited to the following:
