CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. In the event a police officer in another department in the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duty, the Township will permit at least one uniformed police supervisor of the Township to participate in the funeral service, for the said deceased officer, on a voluntary basis. Subject to the availability of same, the Township will permit a Township police vehicle to be utilized by the members in the funeral service. Police officers participating in such funeral service shall not be entitled to any compensation during the time in which they are participating in said funeral service unless otherwise agreed to by the Chief of Police.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. In the event a law enforcement officer in another department in the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duty, the Borough will permit at least one (1) off-duty uniformed officer to participate in funeral services for the deceased officer. The participating officer shall provide reasonable notice to the Chief of Police.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. A. In the event of a police officer in another department in the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duly, the employer will permit any off duty officer of the department to participate in funeral services for the said deceased officer, subject to call back to duty in an emergency. The off-duty officer(s) attending will be allowed the use of one (1) marked patrol car, subject to availability.
B. Police officers participating in such funeral services shall not be entitled to any compensation during the time in which they are participating in said funeral services.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. A. In the event a fire officer/fire fighter in another department in the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duty, the Township will permit at least one (1) off duty uniformed fire officer of the Township to participate in funeral services for the said deceased officer.
B. Subject to the approval of the Fire Chief of his/her designee, the Township will permit a Township fire vehicle to be utilized by the members in the funeral service.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. Whenever a sworn law enforcement officer, as defined by N.J.S.A. 43:15A-97, is killed in the line of duty in the State of New Jersey, the County agrees to send a minimum of six (6) uniformed Officers (two (2) from Courthouse; two (2) from Patrol and Two (2) from Corrections) to participate in funeral services for the said deceased law enforcement officer, so long as the funeral services take place within the State of New Jersey or, if outside the State of New Jersey, within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Passaic County Jail. Subject to the availability of same, the Sheriff will permit two (2) County vehicles to be utilized by the members in the funeral service. Officers participating in such funeral service shall not be entitled to any compensation during the time in which they are participating in said funeral service unless otherwise agreed to by the Sheriff's Office.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. In the event of a death of a law enforcement officer in another department within the state of New Jersey, the Sheriff will permit at least two (2) employees to participate in the funeral services for the deceased officer, to be selected by the Association President.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. A. In the event a law enforcement officer in another department of the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duty, the Employer will permit at least two (2) off-duty uniformed Officers/Investigators of the Department to participate in funeral services for said deceased officer. Reasonable notice shall be given.
B. Subject to the availability of same, and subject to the Sheriff’s approval, the Employer will permit a Department vehicle to be utilized by the member in the funeral service.
C. Officers/Investigators participating in such funeral service shall not be entitled to any compensation during the time in which they are participating in said funeral services.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. In the event a police officer in another Department in the State of New Jersey is killed in the line of duty, the Employer will permit at least two (2) uniformed police officers of the Department to participate in funeral services for the said deceased officer. Subject to the availability of same, and with the Chiefs approval, the Employer will permit a Department police vehicle to be utilized by the members in the funeral service. Police officers participating in such funeral service shall not, be entitled to any compensation during the time in which they are participating in said funeral services unless otherwise agreed to by the Chief of Police. This Agreement shall also cover the attendance of a funeral of a police officer in another state.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES i. connected with the death of a member of their Immediate Family or extended family (provided that no Employee shall have an existing entitlement reduced as a result of this clause); or
ii. for other ceremonial obligations under Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander lore. The one (1) day of paid leave for Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander peoples will not accrue from year to year and will not be paid out on termination of employment of the employee Council may require proof of participation or proof of the requirement to participate, including details of the name or nature of the ceremony or cultural activity and times and dates of all proposed absences.
CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES. The TRIBE shall be permitted to engage in spiritual and ceremonial activities such as but not limited to dances, music playing, tipi setting and overnight use, memorials, and celebrations, in accordance with the following limitations:
(i) Location limitations –
a. Certain areas of the Property only? b. Certain areas off-limits?
(ii) Seasonal or date limitations –
a. Certain times of year only? – Ceremonial activities shall be conducted only in the months of .
a. Certain blackout dates? (E.g., if Land Holder has a big event on the Property) -- Ceremonial activities shall not be conducted on days reserved by the Land Holder for certain events, as communicated to the TRIBE at the Annual Meeting or at least thirty (30) days in advance of such dates.
(iii) Time of day limitations –
a. Daylight hours only? – Ceremonial activities shall be conducted only during daylight hours.
(iv) Number of persons limitations --
a. Limited to a specific number of participants?
(v) Use of fire – Fire on a property that is open to public use can attract attention, or present a real or perceived danger. Ceremonial activities may involve the use of fire only upon the prior written consent of the Land Holder, and only within the parameters and permits of Maine state law and regulations, and any municipal regulations. Said use of fire may be limited to certain locations or times, or conditioned upon the taking of specific safety measures. Use of fire in violation of the limitations or safety standards established by the Land Holder is grounds for immediate termination of this Agreement by the Land Holder, given the risks to the Cultural Values and Conservation Values of the Property.
