Right of Association. Pursuant to the Michigan Public Employment Relations Act, the District hereby agrees that every bargaining unit employee shall have the right to organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other lawful concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under the law of the State of Michigan, the District undertakes and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any member in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by the Act or other laws of Michigan or the Constitutions of Michigan and the United States; that it will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association, his/her participation in any lawful, approved activities of the Association or collective professional negotiations with the District, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement or otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any teacher rights he/she may have under the Michigan General School laws or other applicable laws and regulations.

Right of Association. Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist employee organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and shall also have the right to refrain from any or all such activities.
Right of Association. Employees of the County shall have the right to form, join, and participate in the activities of employee organizations of their own choosing for the purpose of representation of all matters of employee relations as required by law. Employees of the County shall also have the right to refuse to join or participate in the activities of employee organizations. No employee shall be interfered with, intimidated, restrained, coerced, or discriminated against because of his or her exercise of these rights. Association membership is not a mandatory condition of employment for any employee covered by this Agreement. Any employee covered by this agreement who has become an association member shall, as a condition of continued employment, continue to pay to the Association those dues or fees regularly charged members of the Association in good standing for the life of this Agreement (except as otherwise provided herein for withdrawal of membership). Every employee who is a member of the Association shall have the right to withdraw from membership during the last twenty (20) days of this Agreement.

Work shall be conducted on the basis of freely agreed and documented terms of employment. You must recognize that wages are essential to meeting your employeesbasic needs. Therefore, you shall, at a minimum, comply with all applicable wage and hour Laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime, maximum hours, piece rates and other elements of compensation, and provide mandated benefits under applicable Laws.

The Board agrees that the Association and its representatives shall have the right to use school buildings for meetings and to transact official Association business on school property at reasonable times as determined by the school principal provided that this does not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations. When special custodial service is required, the Board may charge for this service.

Right of Association. 1. Foreigners shall be allowed to join or become members of associations, namely for cultural, religious, recreational, sports, charitable or relief purposes, as well as to participate in meetings commemorating their national dates. 2. For reasons of national security, in addition to the requirements demanded by special laws on non-profit legal entities, the registration of associations that are exclusively composed of foreign members or whose majority of the social bodies are composed of foreigners must be communicated to the member of the Government that oversees migration. 3. The communication foreseen in the previous number is made by means of a request addressed to the member of the Government that is in charge of migration, in which the purposes of the association are briefly stated and a copy of its by-laws or articles of association is attached, as well as the composition of its governing bodies.
