Common use of Cessation of Vacation Accrual Clause in Contracts

Cessation of Vacation Accrual. (a) Notwithstanding Article 24.02 above, accrual of vacation entitlement will cease during a period of Employee absence in excess of thirty (30) calendar days, for any or a combination of the following reasons: (i) illness or injury, unless in receipt of sick leave with pay pursuant to Article 24; (ii) layoff; (iii) leaves of absence without pay, except for a leave of absence for Union business. (b) Vacation benefits will accrue during the remainder of the vacation year, proportionate to the period worked.

Cessation of Vacation Accrual. (a) Notwithstanding Article 24.02 above22.04, accrual of vacation entitlement pay will cease during a period of Employee absence in excess of thirty (30) calendar days, for any or a combination of the following reasons: (i) illness or injury, unless in receipt of sick leave with pay pursuant to Article 2425, Xxxx Leave; (ii) layoffin receipt of compensation from Workers Compensation Board in excess of thirty (30) calendar days; (iii) leaves of absence without pay, except for a leave of absence for Union business.layoff; (biv) Vacation vacation benefits will accrue during the remainder of the vacation year, year proportionate to the period worked.
