Common use of Change of Work Location Clause in Contracts

Change of Work Location. (a) Except in the case of temporary assignment changes for a duration of less than one month, and except in the case of emergencies, the Employer will give a regular employee 14 days' advance notice in writing stating the reasons, prior to implementing any change in the employee's designated work location. (b) In the above-cited circumstances, shop stewards will be given an additional seven days' advance notice prior to implementing any change in the xxxxxxx'x designated work location. (c) For the purpose of this clause, work locations are as defined in Appendix 7 - Work Locations Pursuant to Clause 3.17. (d) Notwithstanding (a) and (b) above, the Employer will continue to, wherever possible, give as much notice as possible of a change in an employee's designated xxxx or equivalent area. (e) The provisions of (a), (b), and (d) above do not apply to those regular employees designated as floating relief.
