CHECK-OFF DUES. A. Upon receipt of a written signed order from each Union member, the Company agrees to deduct from his/her pay, and transmit to the Union, the regular monthly dues uniformly required by the Union which he/she may lawfully owe. Employees electing to contribute additional contributions to the Committee on Political Education (COPE) shall require a separate authorization for this deduction. Such an assignment may be revoked in writing by the Union Member at any time. Until such assignment is revoked, the Company shall remit to the Union the dues and (COPE) contributions deducted, pursuant to such assignment at least once each calendar month together with a written statement of the names of the employees for whom the deductions were made and the amount of each deduction. The Union shall promptly acknowledge receipt thereof in writing. B. The Union agrees to save the company harmless from any actions against the Company growing out of these deductions, and assumes full responsibility for the disposition of such funds once they have been remitted to the Union.
