Tools, Equipment and Supplies. The District agrees to provide employees with all tools, equipment and supplies required for performance of their duties. An employee is prohibited from providing their own tools and equipment.

Tools, Equipment and Supplies. 11.1 Employees are not authorized to use or borrow CMHA tools, equipment or supplies for personal use, either on or off the premises.
11.2 In the event tools, equipment or supplies issued to an employee for use in performing assigned job duties are lost, stolen, or damaged, it is the employee’s responsibility to report such loss to the supervisor. The supervisor will investigate the circumstances of the loss. If the employee is responsible for the damage or loss, the supervisor will inform the employee of the determination, charge the employee for the reasonable value of the property and reissue replacements as appropriate. Employees may reimburse CMHA either by check or through payroll deduction
11.3 Tools, equipment and supplies provided to employees by CMHA for use in the performance of their duties remain the property of CMHA and must be returned upon termination of CMHA employment. The cost of any outstanding property will be deducted from the employee’s final paycheck.
11.4 On a yearly basis, CMHA will provide to employees a list of their tools, equipment and supplies.
Tools, Equipment and Supplies. 15.1 The Employer agrees to provide all tools, equipment and supplies reasonably necessary for completion of Bargaining Unit work. These tools and equipment will be inspected by the Supervisor or his/her designee periodically. Broken and missing standard issue hand tools will be replaced within a reasonable time frame, not to exceed forty-five (45) days.
15.2 The employee will fill out a form describing the loss or damage to the tool or equipment. The form agreed upon by the Employer and Union and supplied by the Employer will be signed and dated by the supervisor and employee. A copy will be given to the employee.
15.3 If an employee chooses to use his/her own tools or equipment, and stores the items on CMHA property, the employee does so at his/her own risk. Such tools must be in a safe and workable condition. The Employer assumes no liability for personal tools and other equipment, which may be lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed in the course of work, or while, kept on CMHA premises.
15.4 Employees are not authorized to borrow CMHA tools, equipment or supplies for personal use, either on or off the premises.
15.5 In the event tools, equipment or supplies issued to an employee for use in performing his/her duties are lost, stolen, or damaged, it is the employee’s responsibility to report such loss to the supervisor. If the supervisor determines that the employee is liable for the damage or loss, the supervisor will inform the employee of the determination, charge the employee for the reasonable value of the property and reissue replacements as appropriate. 15.6 Tools, equipment and supplies provided to employees by the Employer for use in performance of their duties (including but not limited to identification cards, health benefits cards, uniforms, beepers, portable phones, computer, keys, rainwear, safety hats) remain the property of the Employer and must be returned upon termination of employment. The cost of any outstanding property will be deducted from the employee’s final paycheck.
15.7 A tool locker will be provided by the Employer for the HVAC Technicians at their assigned work area, which is defined as the place where the employee reports to work.
Tools, Equipment and Supplies. A. No Custodial Services employee shall be held responsible for the nonperformance of any task that is left undone because of lack of proper tools, equipment, or supplies. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to notify his/her immediate supervisor of the lack of proper tools to perform the job.
B. Foul weather gear (raincoats and boots) will be made available to Maintenance, Grounds and Transportation employees for use during inclement weather. Coveralls will be available on an as needed basis to members of the asphalt crew.
C. No employee shall be required to carry tools, equipment, or supplies in his/her personal vehicle, unless the vehicle is being used for Board purposes and he/she is being reimbursed for said use. No such employee shall be required to carry equipment or supplies of unreasonable size or weight.
Tools, Equipment and Supplies. Any and all tools, equipment and supplies furnished by the Employer prior to the date of this agreement shall continue to be furnished unless the parties through collective bargaining mutually agree to change or have specifically waived any of these conditions.
