Childcare Leave Extension. The Employer may grant an extension of childcare leave without pay provided that the employee applies in writing to Office of Human Resources and Legal Services at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the date such leave is to commence. Employer will respond with a decision regarding said leave, or a request for additional information within fourteen (14) calendar days. Leave shall be granted for a period up to one year and may be extended up to a maximum of two (2) years with Employer approval. Such application shall include a signed statement by a physician indicating the expected date of delivery. During an extended, unpaid childcare leave, an employee’s health, dental, and vision coverage shall be continued at Employer expense for up to eighteen (18) weeks past delivery or placement date provided the employee continues to make his/her required employee

  • Childcare Leave Every employee who has served the Company for at least 3 months and who has a child below the age of seven (7) years shall be entitled to the prescribed number of days of paid childcare leave in a year in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Children Development Co–Savings Act or the Employment Act, as the case may be.
