Christmas or New Year's Day Off. (a) The Employer agrees to make every effort to schedule either Christmas Day or New Year's Day off for employees so requesting. Employees shall indicate their preference in writing on or before November 15th each year and the Employer shall respond in writing on or before December 1st each year. (b) Employees who are members of non-Christian religions are entitled to up to two days’ leave of absence without pay per calendar year to observe spiritual or holy days. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. Employees may use banked overtime, or vacation.
