CLEANUP AND PROTECTIONS. 15.1 Contractor agrees to keep the Project site clean at all times of debris, rubbish and waste materials arising out of the Work. At the completion of the Work, Contractor shall remove all debris, rubbish and waste materials from and about the Project site, as well as all tools, appliances, construction equipment and machinery and surplus materials, and shall leave the Project site clean and ready for occupancy by Owner.
15.2 Any existing surface or subsurface improvements, including, but not limited to, pavements, curbs, sidewalks, pipes, utilities, footings, structures, trees and shrubbery, not indicated in the Contract Documents to be removed or altered, shall be protected by Contractor from damage during the prosecution of the Work. Subject to the Section 2.3 above, any such improvements so damaged shall be restored by Contractor to the condition equal to that existing at the time of Contractor's commencement of the Work.

Any existing surface or subsurface improvements, including, but not limited to, pavements, curbs, sidewalks, pipes, utilities, footings, structures, trees and shrubbery, not indicated in the Contract Documents to be removed or altered, shall be protected by Design-Build Firm from damage during the prosecution of the Work. Any such improvements so damaged shall be restored by Design-Build Firm to the condition equal to that existing at the time of Design-Build Firm's commencement of the Work and the Design-Build Firm shall bear the cost of any such restorations.
14.3. If the Design-Build Firm fails to clean up as provided in the Contract Documents, the County may do so and the cost thereof shall be deducted from the final payment due the Design-Build Firm.

18.3 Construction Contractor shall confine operations at the Project site to areas permitted by applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations, and lawful orders of public authorities and the Contract Documents and shall not unreasonably encumber the site with materials or equipment. Protection of construction materials or equipment stored on the site from weather, theft and damage is the sole responsibility and risk of Construction Contractor.
18.4 Only materials and equipment that are to be used directly in the Work shall be brought to and stored on the Project site by Construction Contractor. After equipment is no longer required for the Work, it shall be promptly removed from the Project site. Construction Contractor shall ensure that the Work, at all times, is performed in a manner that affords reasonable access, both vehicular and pedestrian, to the site of the Work and all adjacent areas. The Work shall be performed, to the fullest extent reasonably possible, in such a manner that public areas adjacent to the site of the Work shall be free from all debris, building materials, and equipment likely to cause hazardous conditions.

Any such improvements so damaged must be restored by CONTRACTOR to condition at least equal to that existing at the time of CONTRACTOR'S commencement of the Work, or at the OWNER’S option, the CONTRACTOR must compensate the OWNER for the cost of restoring such damage.
