Compensation After Reclassification. Every employee who is appointed to a position which is reclassified upward shall be appointed to the first step of the salary range of the new classification or at least 5% above the step and range of his/her previous classification, whichever is higher.

  • JOB CLASSIFICATION AND RECLASSIFICATION 26.01 In order to ensure the appropriate classification of jobs listed under Schedule "A" of the collective agreement, the Parties agree that matters related to the classification of new or existing jobs shall be dealt with in accordance with the Joint Job Evaluation Manual of Procedures forming part of this collective agreement.   • Downward Reclassification a. When a position is reclassified to another class at the same pay level or to a class that carries a lower salary range, the incumbent trial service or regular employee shall be accorded corresponding status in the new class.

  • Upward Reclassification When a position is reclassified upward a regular incumbent shall be continued in the position. He/she shall be advanced to the higher class with the same status held in the lower class if he/she meets minimum experience and training requirements. When a position is reclassified upward and the incumbent does not have regular status, the position will be filled competitively at the higher level.

  • CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION The parties hereto agree that the employees covered by this Agreement shall be considered engaged in the type of work and classification as set forth on Schedule A attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

  • Change of Classification When the classification of a position is changed, the incumbent who occupies the position whose classification has been changed shall be assigned to that position unless some other employee has vested rights to such position by reason of layoff.
