Continuous Shiftwork. 3.3.1 Where the Company proposes to change the hours of work of employees to meet operational needs, the consultation provision outlined in clause 12.2 will apply. 3.3.2 For permanent fulltime employees working on a continuous shift, the ordinary hours worked shall be an average of 38 hours per week over the roster cycle worked as an 8.45 hour (8 hours and 27 minutes) shift (including meal break) providing one accrued Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 2 weeks. . RDO’s will normally be staggered to meet the needs of the business, and be taken on a Monday.

Continuous Shiftwork. Continuous shift workers on a 12 hour roster will be paid on a Friday day shift eight hours at the rate of double time from 7:00am to 3:00pm but the period from to 3:00pm to 7:00pm will be paid at ordinary rates. Continuous shift workers on an 8 hour roster will be paid on a Friday day shift eight hours at the rate of double time from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Continuous Shiftwork. (a) A continuous shiftworker means an employee regularly engaged to work in a system of consecutive shifts throughout the 24 hours of each of at least five consecutive days without interruption (except during breakdown or meal breaks or due to unavoidable causes beyond the control of Service Stream) and who is regularly rostered to work those shifts. (b) Continuous shiftworkers are entitled to 20 minutes for crib which is counted as time worked.
Continuous Shiftwork. The following break provisions apply to Employees working either on non-continuous shiftwork that operates over a 24 hour period (e.g. Monday to Friday only) or on continuous shiftwork (as defined): (a) Generally, an Employee is not to work more than 6 hours without a 30 minute paid meal break. This meal break is not to be taken before the third hour from the commencement of the shift. (b) If an Employee is required to work a rostered shift of more than 10.5 hours, the Employee will receive two paid breaks, the first being the Employee's meal break and taken in accordance with 28.1(a) above, and the second being of 20 minutes duration and taken at a time to suit the operations of the Company and within the last three (3) hours of the shift. (c) Breaks may be taken at such times as agreed between the Employee and their Supervisor and in any case shall be taken at times that will not interfere with continuity of work. Breaks may be staggered within a crew to enable continuity of work or production.

The Supplier and the Authority will provide to each other any information which may be relevant to assisting the objectives of continuous improvement and in particular reducing costs.
