Paid Meal BreakIn the event that an employee has to work more than two (2) hours before or after his/her regular shift, he/she shall be entitled to a paid meal break of one-half hour.
Paid Meal Break. When a meal break, not to exceed 20 minutes, is authorized in connection with the employee’s work schedule, such meal break shall be considered as work time.
Paid Meal Break. During a twelve (12) hour shift, two (2) meal breaks will be provided. An employee will only be paid for a meal if not at any paramedic base and will be provided with up to a maximum of ten dollars ($10.00) per meal provided that the employee submits a meal voucher. For an employee required to work more than two (2) hours overtime, a paid meal break shall be supplied by the County. A further meal will be supplied for every four (4) hours continuous of overtime thereafter.
Paid Meal Break. (a) An Employee required to work overtime for more than 2 hours after the ordinary ceasing time on any day shall be allowed, at the expiration of the said 2 hours, 30 minutes for a meal without loss of pay. Alternatively, the Employee, subject to operational requirements, may elect to work through his or her paid break, in which case he or she will be entitled to an additional payment of 30 minutes’ overtime upon finishing the overtime work. (b) Where an Employee works overtime on a Saturday or Sunday and such overtime continues after noon, the Employee will be entitled to take a paid break of 30 minutes for a meal. Alternatively, the Employee, subject to operational requirements, may elect to work through his or her paid break, in which case he or she will be entitled to an additional payment of 30 minutes’ overtime upon finishing the overtime work.
Paid Meal BreakAn Employee who works a shift that attracts a shift penalty under clause 24 is entitled to a paid meal break per shift of not less than 20 minutes. The meal break must be taken not earlier than 4 hours, and not later than 5 hours, after the start of the shift.
Paid Meal BreakThe immediate supervisor will be notified if an employee is required to perform duties during her meal break. If unable to take the missed time prior to the end of her shift, the employee will be paid for the meal break at the rate payable for the shift.

Paid Meal Break. (a) If an employee is unable to take their meal break for operational reasons, the employee must take reasonable steps to discuss the situation with their relevant Manager or delegated person in charge, in advance of their required meal break time. Where it is not deemed operationally viable for the Employee to be relieved (ie the Manager is unable to arrange relief so as to enable the Employee to take an unpaid meal break, or a management decision is not able to be reasonably obtained), the Employee will receive payment at the Employee’s ordinary rate of pay for the duration of the untaken meal break.

Paid Meal BreakIn lieu of an unpaid meal break, employees may receive a paid meal break of 30 minutes per scheduled day of work, which is counted as time worked. Payment of the meal break is in compensation for the requirement to remain at the workstation to ensure ongoing performance of the plant.
