Common use of Court Pay Clause in Contracts

Court Pay. Whenever an employee is required to appear during his regular off-duty time before any official court or before a prosecutor on matters pertaining to or arising from the employee’s official duties, the employee shall be compensated for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate hourly rate of pay. If an employee appears before a court or at a pretrial conference for more than two (2) hours, such excess time shall also be compensated at the applicable rate.
