Credit for Graduate Work. Teachers may receive credit on the salary matrix by completing graduate coursework. For a teacher whose highest degree earned is a Bachelor’s, the coursework must be part of an approved Master’s program or a program or area of focus that meets a specific District need; for all teachers, the coursework shall be applicable to the teacher’s professional assignment or otherwise be of value to the District. Credit for Graduate Work a. Prior approval by the Superintendent is required for all courses and institutes planned for credit beyond the Bachelor’s Degree up to sixty (60) hours. Approval forms are available in the School Office. They must be completed in duplicate and delivered to the Central Office for approval. One will be returned to the applicant. Only the first approval form is required when the applicant is enrolled in a designated graduate program leading to a graduate degree. Approved graduate credit of record for up to sixty (60) hours beyond the Bachelor’s Degree and for up to thirty (30) hours beyond the Master’s Degree will be credited at the graduate hour rate per Appendix A for the appropriate years for each block of three (3) hours completed. In addition, approved graduate credit of record for up to forty-five (45) hours beyond the Master’s Degree will be credited at the graduate hour rate per Appendix A for the appropriate years for each block of three (3) hours which have been completed after M y 1,1988.   • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. In a Provider’s Office/In Your Home This plan covers individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and family therapy when rendered by: • Psychiatrists; • Licensed Clinical Psychologists; • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers; • Advance Practice Registered Nurses (Clinical Nurse Specialists/Nurse Practitioners- Behavioral Health); • Licensed Mental Health Counselors; and • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. Psychological Testing This plan covers psychological testing as a behavioral health benefit when rendered by: • neuropsychologists; • psychologists; or • pediatric neurodevelopmental specialists. This plan covers neuropsychological testing as described in the Tests, Labs and Imaging section.

  • INTEREST IN TEACHING PUPILS The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates an 29 understanding of and commitment to each pupil, taking into account each individual's unique 30 background and characteristics. The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates enthusiasm for or 31 enjoyment in working with pupils.

  • WORKING TEST PERIOD Section One. The Working Test Period shall be deemed an extension of the examination process. Therefore, a determination of unsatisfactory performance during a Working Test Period shall be tantamount to a failure of the competitive exam.

  • Teaching Assistants 1. All Teaching Assistants shall receive the same remuneration per base unit and the difference between the amount paid a Graduate Teaching Assistant and other Teaching Assistants is an associated scholarship. See XIII D. for appropriate compensation.
