Common use of Custodial Employees Clause in Contracts

Custodial Employees. A. Paid vacation shall be granted whenever possible at the times requested with the approval of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, except as noted below: One week prior to the start of the school year and one week after the start of the school year. Employees with ten days vacation may schedule five days during the school year. B. Employees with fifteen (15) or twenty (20) days of earned vacation time may schedule not more than ten (10) of these days during the school year. Not more than one (1) employee from any one location nor more than four (4) employees from the total school system shall schedule such vacations at the same time. The Board retains the flexibility to utilize maintenance employees to cover absences and/or adjust the working time of other custodial employees to cover these absences. When two (2) or more employees schedule the same vacation period, the most senior employee shall have preference.
