Common use of Death Leave Clause in Contracts

Death Leave. 1. A maximum of five (5) school days of death leave will be granted for absence due to a death in the immediate family. The five (5) school days shall include the day of the funeral. However, death leave days do not carry over to school days from vacations and breaks if the leave days normally would have been used if school was in session.
