Classification Change. 1. When substituting for a head position the substitute employee shall receive a twenty-five percent (25%) premium per hour over his/her regular rate not to exceed the head position rate. Additional hours worked by the substitute will not qualify the substitute employee for additional fringe benefits unless they are substituting for unpaid long-term leave of absences. (ref., Article VIII, Section O, Leave of Absence).
Classification Change. Journeymen will not suffer a loss in wages as a result of a change in technical classification in reference to Article 6.06.
Classification Change. Where new classifications are introduced into the bargaining unit, or where the Employer requires bargaining unit members to perform acting responsibilities outside of the scope of their job description, the Employer and the Union shall meet in good faith to discuss the job responsibilities and rates of pay. Where the parties are unable to agree on wage rates for new classifications or acting responsibilities, this matter may be the subject of a grievance.
Classification Change. Upon change of classification, the employee shall be placed at the same step in the new classification on the salary schedule to which the employee would be entitled on the basis of continuous years of service with the District. In the case of a promotion, if the employee is not assigned to the new position within fifteen (15) working days, the employee shall begin receiving the pay of the higher position on the sixteenth (16th) day.
Classification Change. A. In the event the level of responsibilities or duties change in an existing position as identified by either or both parties, the Association and the Board’s designee will convene to negotiate levels of responsibilities, change of duties, and compensation for the changes.
B. The secretary in said position shall remain in the position without posting assuming he/she meets the minimum qualifications of the redefined position.
C. In the event the secretary does not meet the minimum qualifications, the administration shall develop an Enrichment Plan designed to provide the secretary with the necessary support to upgrade his/her skills and therefore meet the qualification requirements. This support shall be provided at Board expense as mutually arranged and may include in-service and instructional assistance (course work).
D. The secretary shall be required to fully participate in all aspects of the enrichment plan and be able to demonstrate that the qualifications of the position are met within six (6) months of the plan development. Failure on the part of the secretary to meet the qualifications within the six (6) months shall require the displacement of that employee in accordance with the provisions defined in Section 7, C below. The secretary shall be placed at the new classification rate during the entire enrichment period.
Classification Change. Placement of a position in a different class specification as a result of a reorganization.
Classification Change. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 9.1, the following rules shall apply for the purposes of shift and vacation selection.
A. In the event an employee is demoted to a lower classification at the employee’s request or for disciplinary reasons and not as a result of a layoff or job elimination, only the time actually worked in such lower classification shall be credited towards seniority for purposes of vacation and shift selection.
B. In the event an employee is involuntarily demoted to a lower classification as the result of a layoff or job elimination, seniority, for purposes of shift and vacation selection, shall be the same as the employee's seniority as defined in Section 9.1, i.e., length of continuous service with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
Classification Change. The Board shall pay each employee who is assigned temporarily to perform hours in a different classification, the hourly rate of pay for that classification for each hour worked in the different classification but not less than his/her regular rate of pay.
Classification Change. When a currently-employed RN I is reclassified to XX XX the nurse must meet the Hospital criteria for proficiency as stated in Article 1.10 (b) and will be paid according to the XX XX schedule above effective the next pay period after approval. Reclassification requests must be submitted to the nurse manager for approval.
Classification Change. The parties agree to meet and consult or discuss any proposed changes in classifications (i.e., job status change, excluding the journeymen programs). Classification as determined in this section is considered a position description such as a port maintenance worker or lead worker. During the course of this agreement, if the District desires to change the current content of classifications in effect at the beginning of this agreement, the District shall meet and consult or discuss with the Union over this matter. If the District and the Union cannot reach agreement on the appropriateness of the change and/or an appropriate pay level as a result of proposed changes, the District shall implement the proposed classification change but shall re-negotiate the change when the parties negotiate a new Memorandum of Understanding. NOTE: CLASSIFICATION & POSITIONS: Classifications and positions are established by the Commission and are subject to annual funding.
