Death of Superintendent. This Agreement shall automatically and without further action by the Board or Superintendent's estate, terminate upon the death of the Superintendent.

If termination is the result of the death of SUPERINTENDENT, SUPERINTENDENT's estate or designated beneficiaries shall be entitled to receive such benefits under any death benefit plan that may be in effect for employees of the District in which SUPERINTENDENT participated and any salary, reimbursement, accrued benefits or other payments due and owing under this AGREEMENT as of the date of death.
Death of Superintendent. In the event of the death of SUPERINTENDENT during the life of this contract, the XXXXXXX COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION shall pay to his beneficiary or estate all annual leave to which he would have been entitled plus the proceeds of the life insurance policy referenced in Paragraph 4(F), above.
Death of Superintendent. Other than the Board's obligation under Section 5.C. and Section 7, which shall continue, all obligations of the Board shall cease upon such termination.

In the event of the death of the SUPERINTENDENT at any time during the term of this contract, the BOARD shall pay to his surviving spouse, if any, or if the SUPERINTENDENT does not have a surviving spouse, to the SUPERINTENDENT’s estate, an amount equal to the portion of the SUPERINTENDENT’s Salary, together with all incentive pay, deferred compensation and other benefits to which he was entitled through date of his death. All payments shall be made within thirty (30) days of his death, together with such other benefits and payments as are authorized by applicable laws and Board Rules. Thereafter, the BOARD shall have no further responsibilities hereunder, and this contract shall terminate automatically. The provisions hereof shall not be deemed to affect any other benefits which may be available to the SUPERINTENDENT, including, but not limited to, those available under the applicable retirement programs, health insurance, life insurance or otherwise.
