Common use of Definition of Seniority Full-Time Clause in Contracts

Definition of Seniority Full-Time. Full-time employees will accumulate seniority on the basis of their continuous service in the bargaining unit from the last date of hire, except as otherwise provided herein. Seniority will operate on a bargaining unit wide basis. Notwithstanding the above, employees hired prior to October 10, 1986 will be credited with the seniority they held under the Agreement expiring November 15, 1985 and will thereafter accumulate seniority in accordance with this Article. Part-Time Part-time employees will accumulate seniority on the basis of one (1) year's seniority for each 1725 hours worked in the bargaining unit as of the last date of hire, except as otherwise provided herein. Seniority will operate on a bargaining unit wide basis. Notwithstanding the above, employees hired prior to October 10, 1986 will be credited with the seniority they held under the Agreement expiring November 15, 1985 and will thereafter accumulate seniority in accordance with this Article.
