Dental or Medical Sample Clauses

Dental or Medical. An employee will be allowed up to six (6) medical or dental visits for themselves or family members as defined by Article 17, Section 8, for a maximum of two (2) hours per visit, per employment year without loss of pay. Each such absence in excess of two (2) hours shall be charged to earned sick leave credits in additional one-half hour units. The Department Head may deny such leave if such absence would impair the work of the department or leave the department understaffed. The employee must provide proof of the medical or dental visit or the appointment as required by the Department Head or designee. Employees may use one of their six (6) medical or dental visits at any time of a regularly scheduled work day with appropriate proof of the pre-arranged medical or dental visit, and will be charged leave in additional one-half hour units for any remaining time in that work day for which the employee is absent, even if the employee is absent for the entire day.
