Civil Service Examinations. A provisional employee who is on a leave of absence without pay is responsible for obtaining information about and participation in any tests given for employee’s classification during such leave and may be replaced from an eligible list.
Civil Service Examinations. 1. If an applicant for a civil service examination wants to take the examination on an alternate date, he/she must submit the request in writing to the Xxxxxxxx County Personnel Office for approval. The request must include the reason for the alternate date and time for which the examination is requested to be scheduled. The Personnel Department will respond to the applicant in writing. (See Exhibit A for procedure/requirements involved in granting alternate dates.)
Civil Service Examinations. If the Employer chooses to use a civil service examination which has been given, all eligible employees in the unit who passed the examination shall be considered in filling vacancies as described above. The Employer may, at its discretion, use certification lists prepared by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, to select candidates to fill vacant positions in the bargaining unit.
Civil Service Examinations. Where a civil service examination has been given, all eligible employees within the office or institution of the Agency in which the vacancy exists who passed the examination, shall be considered in filling the vacancy as described above.
Civil Service Examinations. Where the employee cannot arrange alternative schedules with the Bureau of Human Resources, the employee will be allowed to take Civil Service examinations without loss of regular pay for the duration of the time spent in the examination.
Civil Service Examinations. Employees shall be allowed to take time off with pay to take open competitive and promotional examinations established by the Civil Service system for positions in the Town.
Civil Service Examinations. Any employee shall be allowed time necessary to be absent from work at his or her regular rate of pay to participate in civil service examinations for positions with any public entity as defined in Section 6.04.080 of the Los Angeles County Code.
Civil Service Examinations. If death occurs in the immediate family of an employee who is scheduled on that day for a local Civil Service examination, an equivalent exam shall be given upon approval by the Director of Human Resources. Appropriate procedures will be prescribed by the Civil Service Department for reporting the death and applying for examination. Time off with pay will be permitted in order to take promotional and competitive examinations given by the Monroe County Civil Service Commission. The department head must be given advance notice of the request for release time for such examination. No examination fee shall be charged to employees in group 52 and below, or to employees taking promotional examinations, or to employees taking open competitive examinations in their career field. A list of career-field examinations shall be agreed upon by the County and the Union.
Civil Service Examinations. A provisional employee who is on a disability leave of absence shall not be certified against from an eligible list prepared from any civil service examination for his classification which he was unable to take as a result of his disability. Such employees shall continue to serve, provisionally, until they have returned to active work status and have had an opportunity to take the appropriate civil service examination. The period of time a provisional employee is receiving disability leave benefits shall not be counted towards the two (2) year period for automatic certification.
Civil Service Examinations. Permanent full-time and regular part-time Librarians shall be allowed time off with pay to take promotional and open competitive County Civil Service examinations. Provisional full and regular part-time Librarians shall be permitted time off with pay to take such examinations in connection with the position in which they are serving.
