Dental Plan/Optical Plan. Effective December 1, 2005 and June 30, 2007 the District shall contribute 100% for each full-time employee to the CSEA Employee Benefit Fund (EBF) family “Equinox” dental plan to provide dental insurance for fulltime employees and their dependents. Effective July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008 the District shall contribute 100% for each full-time employee to the CSEA Employee Benefit Fund (EBF) family “Dutchess” dental plan to provide dental insurance for fulltime employees and their dependents. The District shall pay the full premium towards the CSEA Employee Benefit Fund (EBF) for purposes of providing the “Platinum 12” employee only optical plan. Notwithstanding the above, the Board of Education shall have the right to change insurance carriers, or become self-insured, provided that the District provides the same or a better level of benefits as per the date set forth in the Teachers’ Contract in effect at the time of change. The Plan shall be submitted to the CSEA at least one month prior to implementation. If the CSEA does not feel that the District is providing the same level of benefits as stated above, they may submit this disagreement directly to binding arbitration, and a decision shall be rendered before implementation. Dental Retiree Rider available with an effective date of July 1, 2005.

  • Medical Plan ‌ Eligible employees and dependants shall be covered by the British Columbia Medical Services Plan or carrier approved by the British Columbia Medical Services Commission. The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premium. An eligible employee who wishes to have coverage for other than dependants may do so provided the Medical Plan is agreeable and the extra premium is paid by the employee through payroll deduction. Membership shall be a condition of employment for eligible employees who shall be enrolled for coverage following the completion of three (3) months’ employment or upon the initial date of employment for those employees with portable service as outlined in Article 14.12.
