Department Participation. Within each department, Employees will have an advisory role in matters directly related to their employment obligations. It is understood that Employees must be appropriately informed about such departmental matters in order to exercise their advisory role. The breadth and depth of departmental participation by Employees will be determined by the employing department. However, Employees shall have a reasonable opportunity periodically to transmit their interests, either orally or in writing, to the department Chair or unit Director.

Department Participation. Each academic department sets guidelines for participation in the governance of the department. Employees will have, at a minimum, an advisory role in matters directly related to their employment obligations. The breadth and depth of such involvement will be determined by the employing department.

Department Participation. The Department shall be a party to all proceedings under this part, and the Office of the General Counsel will rep- resent the Department’s interests be- fore the Board.

Department Participation. The Department agrees to participate, including contingencies, in the project cost to the extent provided in Exhibit "B." This amount includes federal-aid funds which are limited to the actual amount of federal- aid participation.

The Parties understand that Department’s governmental functions supersede any language that may be understood as contrary to that function in this Agreement. The Parties also understand that the Department will be responsible for all decision making relating to reviews of applications for financial assistance submitted to the Department or any agency within the Department. The Department will not participate in any pre-decisional activity. The Department will not participate in any final decisions by the Program Sponsor to apply for any federal financial assistance, including, but not limited to, the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) program loans or loan guarantees, the Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing (RRIF) program loans or loan guarantees, Private Activity Bonds (PABs) allocations, and any other financial assistance program applications administered by the Department. The Department will not participate in any decisions by the Program Sponsor on any NEPA action involving a federal agency.

Department Participation. Consistent with the limitations set forth in Water Code Section 80110, upon the request of the Commission, the Department will participate in any Commission proceedings, including providing witnesses, attending public hearings and providing any other materials necessary to facilitate the Commission’s completion of its proceedings, taken in connection with the establishment of Power Charges or Bond Charges by the Commission.

The Department will not participate in any final decisions by the Program Sponsor to apply for any Federal financial assistance, including, but not limited to, TIFIA program loans or loan guarantees, RRIF program loans or loan guarantees, private activity bond allocations under section 142(m) of title 26, United States Code, and any other financial assistance program applications administered by the Department. The Bureau will not participate in any decisions by the Program Sponsor with respect to any NEPA actions currently or anticipated to be before an operating administration of the Department or any other Federal agency.
