Designation of Administrative Appointments. A tenured faculty member, upon appointment to an Administrative position, shall be allowed to retain Tenure as a faculty member. However, persons assigned Administrative responsibility and authority will occupy positions for which the privileges of tenure cannot be extended. Administrative positions for such purposes shall be defined as those exempt appointments not in the bargaining unit.

Designation of Administrative Appointments. ‌ A tenured faculty member, upon appointment to an administrative position, except that of the President, shall be allowed to retain his/her tenure as a faculty member. However, persons assigned administrative responsibility and authority will occupy positions for which the privileges of tenure cannot be extended. The recognized administrative positions which are specifically exempt from provisions of tenure as described herein include all administrative contract positions, and other directors, coaches, or supervisors for which extra pay and/or released time is given for activities other than the regular duties for which the faculty member’s certification and basic contract indicate. Faculty appointed to administrative positions after July 1, 1989 who teach less than one-third (1/3) load or perform faculty counseling or library functions less than one-third (1/3) of the time shall accumulate a maximum of three (3) years of such time as bargaining unit seniority.

The recognized administrative positions which are specifically exempt from provisions of tenure as described herein include all administrative contract positions and other directors, coaches, or supervisors for which extra pay and/or reassigned time is given for activities other than the regular duties for which the professor's certification and basic contract indicate. Faculty appointed to administrative positions after the execution of this agreement who teach less than 1/3 load or perform faculty counseling or library functions less than 1/3 of the time will accumulate a maximum of 3 years of such time as bargaining unit seniority.

  • TERMINATION OF APPOINTMENT 6.1 The Issuer may terminate the appointment of the Calculation Agent at any time by giving to the Calculation Agent at least 45 days' prior written notice to that effect, provided that, so long as any of the Relevant Notes is outstanding:

  • Regular Appointment The authorized appointment of an individual to a position covered by Civil Service.

  • Committee Appointments Members of the transfer screening committee and transfer interview committee shall be taken from the general hiring committee. The hiring committee will determine the appointments to the transfer screening and interview committees under conditions in Sections 5.3.2.1 and 5.3.2.2.
