Discipline and Dismissal Process. Except in exceptional circumstances, the Employer shall meet with the Employee prior to imposing any discipline to give the Employee the right to be heard on the matter. The Employer shall inform the Employee prior to the meeting that they are entitled to have a representative of the Association present at the meeting and that it is the responsibility of the Employee to contact the Association if they desire same. The Employee shall be notified that the discussion is in accordance with this Article of the Collective Agreement.

  • DISCIPLINE AND DISCHARGE 21.01 The Employer may warn, suspend, demote or discharge employees for just cause. If the conduct or performance of an employee warrants disciplinary action, such action shall be confirmed in writing. A copy of all such documentation shall be provided to the employee(s) involved and forwarded to the office of the Union at the time they are issued.
