Early Education Funding. The school provides 3 and 4 year old government funded early education. All families are entitled to claim up to 570 funded hours per year for 3 and 4 year old children from the term following their third birthday. Government funding advised as “15 hours per week” refers to a term time only calculation. The School provides term time only places. These funded hours can be accessed in addition to any other sessions or a reduction can be given from the cost of extended day care. The School cannot guarantee that the free sessional places will be available although children already attending the School are prioritised. Some 3 and 4 year olds in England can get an additional 570 hours of free early education and childcare per year, until they start reception class. Parents of these 3 and 4 year olds will need to meet strict criteria, which is detailed in the Early Education Booklet. There is a charge of £9.50 per session for anything over the 15 hour Government funded places. Early Education is offered within the national parameters – · no session to be longer than 10 hours · no minimum session length (subject to the requirements of registration on the Ofsted Early Years Register). · not before 6.00am or after 8.00pm · a maximum of two sites in a single day We aim to identify all children that may attract any additional funding such as EYPP, DAF, SEND Inclusion Fund and any locally available funding streams with a view to submit a claim/application to support and improve their outcomes. We will work with parents to ensure that as far as possible the hours/sessions that can be taken as free provision are convenient for parentsworking hours.
