Education General. Unit members may take academic courses and are eligible for tuition and/or fee reimbursement when: 1. The employee is in a career indefinite or flexible-term appointment. 2. The course is assignment-related or is part of a unit member’s approved Academic Plan. 3. The unit member files a completed and approved Education Assistance Form with the Laboratory’s Training and Development Division prior to the start of the course.

Education General. ‌ The City recognizes the need to encourage and promote educational opportunities for employees, subject to budgetary limitations. The City will reimburse personnel for costs incurred in receiving approved education upon satisfactory completion of such education. Approved education shall be defined as training and/or education that relates to the employee’s current position, or education and training that supports the employee’s professional growth toward a potential future position within the employee’s career path. Nothing in this section shall be interpreted as a guarantee that the costs of training and/or education will be paid or reimbursed, in whole or in part, by the City. Reimbursement for course work and/or a degree program must be preapproved by the employee’s department director, the Human Resources Director, and the Chief Administrative Officer. Eligible costs include: 1. Tuition and class registration; 2. Books; and 3. Associated fees (i.e., lab fees, parking fees, materials). If an employee is attending an accredited State institution, the employee shall be reimbursed based upon that institution’s tuition schedule. If an employee is attending a non-State supported institution, the employee shall be reimbursed on the basis of the University of Washington tuition schedule.

DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3).   • Education Leave If required by the Hospital, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications. Where employees are required by the Hospital to take courses to upgrade or acquire new employment qualifications, the Hospital shall pay the full costs associated with the courses. Subject to operational requirements, the Hospital will make every reasonable effort to grant requests for necessary changes to an employee's schedule to enable attendance at a recognized up-grading course or seminar related to employment with the Hospital."

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Education Incentive A. The following monthly education incentive pay will be paid to each employee upon completing the listed degree and providing proof of completion to the Agency. Associate Degree Two percent (2%) Bachelor Degree Four percent (4%) B. The above percentages will be based upon the employee’s base rate of pay. C. An employee will be entitled to one (1) education incentive pay only. D. Degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher education.

Parents and guardians must assume a responsibility for maintaining this partnership by supporting the school in the provision of education to their children within the scope of School's registration and furthering the spiritual and academic life of their children.
