EDUCATIONAL TIME. The Union and the University recognize that education is a key component of the residency and fellowship programs at the University. Scheduled academic activities including, but not limited to didactics, conferences, courses, simulations, computer training sessions, and orientation days shall be protected to the furthest extent practical. During such education time, residents and fellows shall be released from clinical duties during educational time to the furthest extent practicable.

EDUCATIONAL TIME a. Full-time regular physicians and dentists who have at least six (6) months continuous service with the County shall be allowed up to seven (7) days (56 hours) time off with pay per fiscal year to attend workshops, seminars and conferences directly related to the doctor's work assignment for the County. This shall be in addition to time spent at workshops, seminars and conferences to which the doctor is sent by the County.

Educational components of residencies consist of both a didactic element and learning on the job by being exposed to varied elements of a particular field, including research pursuits. Therefore, academic activities including, but not limited to didactics, conferences, courses, simulations, computer training sessions, research activities, elective rotations and orientation days shall be protected to the furthest extent practical. During research and elective rotations, trainees may still participate in clinical duties. During other protected education time (didactics, conferences, courses, simulations, computer training sessions and orientation days), Residents and Fellows shall be released from clinical duties to the furthest extent practicable. Alleged violations of this provision article may be grieved up to Step 2 level, but shall not be subject to the arbitration procedure under this Agreement.

  • Additional Time If because of events beyond the Design Professional’s reasonable control, it is not able to meet the specified time period, then it should be entitled to ask the Owner for additional time, which request shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one hour increments.

  • Travel Time All employees shall be paid travel time allowance per day (as per Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance is to be paid for rostered days off and in the case of Apprentices, the days on which they attend trade school, but not payable for either sick leave, annual leave or public holidays. As it is an allowance received during ordinary time, it should also be included in calculations for superannuation contributions.

  • Central Time After all Parties have been notified, the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this Section 2.1 shall apply.”

  • Pacific Time If enabled by Platform, the Same Day ACH means that the transfer will be performed within one (1) business day. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • Professional Development Day The Employees shall be entitled to spend three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of doing research and preparation related to their work at a date mutually acceptable to the Employer and the Employee.
