Educational Use. If the Product You have received with this Agreement is an Educational Software Bundle (where the Product is received by virtue of Your participation in a Foxit program designed for educational or research institutions, or is provided by Foxit to You under some other arrangement), You are not entitled to use the Product unless You are an employee or student of such educational institution. Educational Software Products may be used for educational and research purposes only. Commercial and general production use of Educational Software Products are specifically prohibited. The Product is provided under a Single-Use Term License as described above. You may install one copy of the Product on one desktop computer in a designated computer used for educational purposes under Your license agreement. Your Educational license is granted for a period of one year, unless stated otherwise, from when the Product license keys are made available to You. Your Educational license entitles You to email and telephone support for up to two designated employees and product upgrades during the term of Your license. You grant Foxit the right to use material created under such license for marketing and advertising purposes.
Educational Use. School-issued Chromebooks should be used for educational purposes and students are to adhere to the Technology Responsible Use Policy (Policy Code 3225/4312/7320) and all of its corresponding administrative procedures at all times.
Educational Use. Where the Account Holder is a Dye & Durham approved educational institution (“Educational Institution”), the following additional or alternative terms and conditions shall also be applicable: (a) The Account Holder acknowledges and agrees that the instance of Unity of provided for use will be a training version and, as such, may have more limited Service Features than other instances of Unity. (b) The Account Holder is responsible for setting up an Administrator by contacting us. The Account Holder must contact us to update or change its Administrator. (c) Users under the Account Holder’s account shall consist of students registered with or engaged by the Educational Institution. (d) The Account Holder’s Administrator and instructor-type Users must successful complete certified training before being provided access to Unity and re-certify annually to be permitted to retain such access. (e) Dye & Durham customer support will only provide technical support to instructor-type Users. We will not provide technical support to students-type Users. Instructor-type Users are responsible for providing all required support to student-type Users. (f) The Account Holder, the Administrator and the Users acknowledge and agree that “internal use purposes” as (g) referenced in Section 7.1 shall consist of internal educational purposes only. No monetary, commercial or other use of Unity or its Materials is permitted. The Account Holder is responsible for advising and binding in writing its Administrator and Users of the use rights and restrictions applicable to Unity and taking reasonable measures to ensure their compliance with such rights and restrictions. (h) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms of Use, Unity and all it Materials are provided on an “as is, as available” basis , without any other warranties, representations or conditions, express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties or conditions of non-infringement of third party rights, accuracy, correctness, completeness, effectiveness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, security, operation free of interruption, ...
Educational Use. Bursa Malaysia may extend a fee concession to students and/or academia for educational purposes subject to justification provided by the intended user in writing. Educational Use. (i) For a Licensee who elects to use a license for educational purposes ("Educational Use"), as noted in Exhibit A, Licensee will develop and the parties will mutually approve in writing a course or lab plan proposal, including the intended audience, the size and duration of the course or lab, the extent to which Verisity products will be discussed, planned course materials ("Course Materials") to be developed that involve the Licensed Program or are based on the Documentation, and a list of all commercial tools to which the students are likely to be exposed. It is hereby clarified that approval of the course or lab plan proposal by Licensor as per the above shall not, under any circumstances, subject Licensor to any responsibility and/or liability whatsoever, and the provisions of Section 6(c) below shall apply and prevail. (ii) The Course Materials must be made available to Verisity before the Course Materials are presented to any student or other persons. Verisity may review the materials. If Verisity identifies any errors in the material, Licensee will promptly correct the errors. (iii) Course Material may not contain any material from the Documentation or other copyrighted work of Verisity, without express written permission from Verisity. Course Material may however be based on or derived from the Documentation. Verisity will make available copies of the Documentation, including manuals and other support materials, for the instructor and students for the duration of the course, but these materials must be returned to Verisity promptly at the end of the course. (iv) Licensee shall grant to Verisity a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free right to copy, make or use Course Material and any other research results, including intermediary results, whether published or not. (v) Licensee agrees not to use the Licensed Program under this Agreement to perform any commercial services for any person or entity, and specifically agrees not to develop, test, debug, compare, or benchmark any commercial product using the Licensed Program. Licensee agrees not to reverse engineer and not to otherwise analyze the Licensed Program, and further agrees not to benchmark or otherwise analyze the performance of the Licensed Program in any configuration, and further agrees not to compare the performance of the Licensed Program to any product competitive with Licensed Program.

Access will be maintained as required by the proposal, provided that the user demonstrates that the use is in compliance with Section 2.1.

It covers use at all levels, including schools, colleges, universities, research councils and other related entities. It covers any activities that a fair minded and reasonable person would consider falls within the spirit and intention of ‘Educational Use’.
