Electrical Safety Rules and Skills Allowance. Paid to employees appointed to electrical positions as agreed by the Secretary of the ETU who have passed a test of their knowledge of the rules and who are required to work or supervise or direct work in accordance with those rules. The allowance is also payable to employees who were appointed to certain positions prior to 22 December 1981. Employees will be required to undergo refresher training. Effective on and from 19 December 2000, apprentice electricians are paid the allowance from the date they complete the Electrical Safety Rules Test. Paid for all purposes. Electrical Safety Rules and Skills Allowance. 16.2.1 Only paid to employees who are appointed to electrical positions who have passed the test and knowledge of the rules and who are required to work or supervise or direct work in accordance with those rules. The positions eligible for this allowance as at 19 December 2012 will remain eligible for the allowance until 30 November 2018. The allowance is also payable to employees who were appointed to certain positions prior to 22 December 1981. Employees will be required to undergo refresher training. ESRA remains an all purpose allowance but is frozen at the rate paid immediately prior to the commencement of this agreement. (Appendix 1D, Allowances, Item No. 25).

  • PREVAILING WAGE RATES - PUBLIC WORKS AND BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS If any portion of work being Bid is subject to the prevailing wage rate provisions of the Labor Law, the following shall apply:

  • Safety Shoe Allowance For each unit member required by the City to wear safety shoes, the City shall provide a voucher from the City-designated department for up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) annually toward the cost of acquiring one pair of safety shoes through the City vendor.

  • Safety Shoes 3901 Employees who are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase and/or replacement of these shoes in the first quarter of each year. Any employee out on an authorized leave shall receive payment within thirty days of their return to paid duty. New employees who are required to wear steel- toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase of shoes in their first paycheck; for employees hired on or after December 1, he/she shall not receive an additional $200 in the following February.

  • Safety Boot Allowance ‌ Effective January 1, 2022, except for temporary and probationary employees, the Employer agrees to pay one hundred and eighty-five dollars ($185.00) in January of each year towards the cost of safety boots for each full time employee requiring them and one hundred ($100.00) dollars for each part time employee requiring them under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and/or by the Employer, provided the Employee is not eligible for safety footwear through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

  • Specialist Schools Allowance Funding equivalent to that which a maintained school with the Academy's characteristics would receive in respect of their participation in the specialist schools programme. In the year of conversion, this may continue to be paid by the Local Authority;

  • Management skills (i) These positions require skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning and organising one’s own work and that of supervised employees so as to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible within the resources available and within a set timetable.
