Multi-skilling definition

Multi-skilling means the development and use of additional and/or different skills by an employee required to meet organisational need “Union” shall mean the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (A.S.U.), an organisation of employees registered pursuant to the Fair Work Act 1994. “Union Officer/Duly Authorised Official” shall mean an officer of the Union who holds a current permit issued by the Industrial Registrar in accordance with the Fair Work Act 1994. Clause 4: PARTIES BOUND This Agreement shall be binding upon the Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the City of Tea Tree Gully as the employer and employees of the City of Tea Tree Gully employed pursuant to the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and the Australian Services Union, but shall exclude the Chief Executive Officer, Directors and any other officer who has negotiated individual salary package arrangements which specify non-application of Enterprise Agreement wage increases. Clause 5: PERIOD OF OPERATION AND RENEGOTIATION This Agreement shall operate from the date of certification and shall remain in force until 30 June, 2012. The parties agree that negotiations for the next Agreement will commence no later than 6 months before the expiry date of this Agreement.
Multi-skilling means the expansion of skills of an individual to meet the competency needs of a range of disciplines covered under the Award.

Clause 6: RELATIONSHIP TO AWARD This agreement shall be read in conjunction with the terms of the Award, provided that where there is any inconsistency between this Agreement and the Award, this Agreement shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency. Clause 7: RELATIONSHIP TO CITY OF TEA TREE GULLY POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES This Agreement is to be read in conjunction with City of Tea Tree Gully policies, procedures and guidelines as they exist from time to time. Where there is any inconsistency between this Agreement and a City of Tea Tree Gully document, this Agreement will prevail. Multi-skilling means the training and supervision of employees up to a level of competency in varied skills to allow them to do a wider range of work (Refer Appendix 3, Examples of Multi Skilling Tasks).
