Elementary Planning Period. With the exception of days in which indoor recess is held due to weather conditions, elementary teachers (grades K-6) will be provided with twenty-six (26) minutes of relief time each instructional day unless the normal daily instructional schedule is interrupted by other activities (i.e. parent teacher conferences; field trips; early dismissals; assemblies, etc.). In the event this time is needed to comply with state instructional hour requirements, elementary teachers shall rotate recess supervision unless the parties arrive at an alternative means of assuring compliance. In addition, elementary teachers may also use for planning and conferences all time during which their classes are receiving instruction from various special area teachers. Elementary teachers may use the time during the noon recess when their students are supervised by teacher aides for planning purposes. Teacher aides shall be provided for recess and lunch hour duties in the above schools for the duration of this contract. Additionally, the Board will endeavor to provide classroom aides and/or other instructional assistance through use of special state and federal programs whenever possible.

Elementary Planning Period. Each elementary teacher shall be allowed no less than an average of forty-eight (48) minutes each day free from assigned student contact for planning and/or lesson preparations.
Elementary Planning Period. All Elementary Teachers, Excluding Nurses, are to have available a maximum of two (2) planning periods per day with a minimum of 50 minutes daily without supervision responsibilities during the periods.
Elementary Planning Period. Regularly assigned 1.0 FTE elementary classroom teachers shall have 55 minutes of planning per day with a minimum of 40 continuous minutes during the same work day. Teachers in grades one through six shall have preparation time scheduled during times in which certificated specialists are assigned to their students and by use of playground aides during recess and elongated lunch periods. Specialists and aides shall be expected to escort students to and from the classroom to insure that elementary teachers receive maximum preparation time, unless other arrangements are made with the individual teacher.

  • Multi-Year Planning The CAPS will be in a form acceptable to the Funder and may be required to incorporate:

  • Planning for Future Years (a) Advance Notice. The Funder will give at least 60 Days’ Notice to the HSP of the date by which a Planning Submission, approved by the HSP’s governing body, must be submitted to the Funder.

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement. In such an event, the HSP acknowledges that if it is provided with planning targets, these targets:

  • Elementary Teachers Elementary teachers’ day shall be eight-ten a.m. to three forty p.m. (8:10 – 3:40), with a forty (40) minute lunch period. All elementary teachers shall be guaranteed a duty-free uninterrupted lunch period of at least forty (40) minutes. The only exception to this policy shall be when weather conditions are such that the elementary children cannot be sent out of doors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to supervise through the noon period. These assignments shall be on a rotating basis. Elementary teachers K-5 shall normally have a guaranteed break during recess periods. Exceptions to this policy shall be when weather/emergency situations are such that the elementary children cannot be sent outdoors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to properly supervise students during these periods on a rotating basis. It is understood and agreed classroom paraprofessionals may be removed by the Administration from their classroom assignment to implement this provision. If qualified paraprofessionals are not available and already in a building to implement this provision, a staff member representative may request a meeting with the principal and Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee to review the matter and discuss possible alternative solutions.

  • Strategic Planning Facilitate the effective alignment of IT requirements/ Information Resource Management (IRM) plans with strategic business plans and program initiatives. Management Improvements: Development and implementation of improved systems and business practices to optimize productivity and service delivery operations (e.g., analysis, and implementation of improvements in the flow of IT work and program processes and tool utilization, including business system analysis, identification of requirements for streamlining, re-engineering, or re-structuring internal systems/business processes for improvement, determination of IT solution alternatives, benchmarking).

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.
