Common use of Emergency Duty Clause in Contracts

Emergency Duty. 26.11.1 Where an employee is required to attend work and deal with an emergency at a time when they would not normally be at work, and no notice was given to them prior to ceasing work, they shall be paid for such emergency duty at the rate of double time. Payment will include time spent necessarily travelling to and from work.
