The incumbent of a position may request a classification review of the work assigned to his or her position with or without the concurrence of the appointing authority if:

Employee-Initiated Classification Review. An Employee who feels that her/his position is incorrectly classified may submit a request for a classification review, in writing, to the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department will audit the position and notify the Employee and the Union of the results within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of receiving the request for a classification review. Employees on a probation or trial period and Employees in a temporary position shall not be entitled to request a classification review. If approved, the reclassification will be effective from the date the Human Resources Department received the reclassification review request. If rejected, or if the Employee is dissatisfied with the reclassification approved, within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of notice thereof, the Employee may file a grievance in accordance with Article 9Dispute Resolution Process.
