Position Vacancy. A bargaining unit position vacancy is created when the Employer determines to increase the work force and to fill a new bargaining unit position or when any of the following personnel transactions take place in the bargaining unit, and the Employer determines to replace the previous incumbent: terminations, promotions, or demotions.
Position Vacancy. Whenever any vacancy in an Association position in the district shall occur during the school year, the Board shall publicize the same by giving written notice of such vacancy to the Association and will provide an appropriate posting in every school building. A copy of this posting will be sent to the Association president. The posting shall be entitled ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY and shall contain the following information:

Position Vacancy. Within 10 days of learning about an impending vacancy in a permanent classified position, the District shall notify MPCEA in writing of the vacancy and negotiate its effect on MPCEA members. Vacated permanent classified positions shall be filled as per Education Code §88003.
Position Vacancy. When there exists a vacancy for a position in the bargaining unit which will be filled by the Hospital, the position shall be posted on the designated Hospital electronic postings for a period of six (6) working days (excluding weekends and holidays). Within six (6) working days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the end of the posting period, the Hospital will provide notice of the approximate length of time it will require to conduct the interviews. The Hospital will attempt to complete the interviews as expeditiously as possible under the circumstances. The Hospital will provide notice to the applicants and the Union President or his/her designee of the awarding of the position within four (4) weeks of the conclusion of the interviews. The Hospital will thereafter place the successful applicant in the new position as soon as is feasible under the circumstances, but, in any event, no later than two (2) months after awarding the position. If a vacant position is not filled by the Hospital within four (4) months of the initial posting, and the Hospital still intends to fill the position, the position will be re-posted in accordance with this Section. The Hospital will make every effort to post vacated twelve (12) hour positions as twelve (12) hour positions.
Position Vacancy. 17.1 In the event that a vacancy occurs in a permanently staffed position, the Department shall, within ninety (90) days after the vacancy has occurred, either declare that the position has been eliminated and will not be filled, and will therefore cease staffing the position on a temporary basis and negotiate the impacts with the Union, or the Department will begin the process of filling the position on a permanent basis by posting the position and by continuing thereafter to take the necessary steps to fill the position on a permanent basis as quickly as is reasonably possible under the circumstances presented. 17.2 The time frame listed above may be extended by mutual agreement on a case-by-case basis if it is deemed beneficial to both parties.

All staff may apply for the vacancy; the application form must be returned to the office of the Director of Facility Operations or designee within seventy-two (72) hours of its posting. C. Internal candidates who are not selected will be notified by the Director of Facility Operations as to the reason the employee was not selected. X. The salary rate for the position will be based on the current salary matrix; if a 2 nd shift employee is selected for a 1st shift position the salary differential will be deducted prior to placement on the salary matrix. F. The transfer will be made as soon as practical. G. The administration reserves the right to transfer employees when it is operationally in the best interest of the District.
