Employment Physicals. Pre‐employment physical examinations as required in the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/24‐5) shall be performed by a physician licensed in Illinois or any other state to practice medicine selected by the employee and the cost shall rest with the employee. Additional certificates of physical fitness may be required, as specified in the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/24‐5). The examinations are to be performed by a physician licensed in Illinois to practice medicine. The expense of the examination will be borne by the district.

Employment Physicals. Any person to be newly employed or to be re-employed as a firefighter shall be required to pass a physical examination that meets the current standards applicable to Bellingham Firefighters and such other examination standards set forth by the Bellingham Civil Service Commission.
Employment Physicals. Depending upon the physical requirements of the position, offers may also be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical. If required, this occurs post-TEA offer at the MedCenter on Milpas. The candidate begins work only after this is completed.
