Student Workers. No student workers shall be employed if members of the bargaining unit are on layoffs. In no event will student workers displace bargaining unit members.
Student Workers. 7B.01 Employers may hire student workers at the discretion of the Union. The category of student worker shall apply to students who are currently active in an educational program towards a career in a construction-related field. A copy of any agreement between the Employer and the educational organization must be sent to the Union prior to the student starting work.
Student Workers. 14.3.1 The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools will employ student workers to assist designated ELP/MEP sites.
14.3.2 At no time will the ratio of students to Paraeducators exceed twenty (20) to one (1).
14.3.3 At no time will a student worker take the place of a position being held by a CSEA Paraeducator.
14.3.4 Student workers will be paid at the current state minimum wage applicable at time of hire.
B. LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE (LVN)
Student Workers. If a member of the bargaining unit is on layoff, a student worker will not be hired to do bargaining unit work unless the Employee on layoff has been first offered the opportunity to do such work. No formal notice of recall shall be required if the Employer is notified by the Union that the work may be assigned to a student worker.
Student Workers. The District shall not employ any students under any student work study or experience program that would displace or supplant a bargaining unit member. Student Employees hired in Seasonal Service positions are not bargaining unit members and shall not earn seniority or other rights and benefits under this Agreement.
15.6.1 Student employees will not be assigned to work more than 19 hours per week during the period when classes are conducted.
Student Workers. The Union and the College support the use of student employees to assist bargaining unit employees in performing bargaining unit work in accordance with College guidelines. However, student employees will not be used to supplant bargaining unit members whose jobs are eliminated or hours reduced.
Student Workers. The parties recognize the right of the District to utilize student workers pursuant to Education Code Section 88003. Employment of either full time or part time students in any college work-study program, or in a work experience education program shall not result in the displacement of classified personnel or impair existing contracts for services. Displacement of bargaining unit members under this Section means layoff or reduction in hours of a bargaining unit member or employment of a student worker in lieu of employment of a permanent bargaining unit member. The District shall provide CSEA, upon request, a list of all individuals employed as Specialist Aides detailing the nature of the assignment.
Student Workers. Student workers shall not be employed or used if members of the bargaining unit are on layoff, nor will they be used to replace, displace or reduce the hours of any employee covered by this agreement.
Student Workers. The LEA has a policy of providing work experience for its students as part of the educational curriculum. In furtherance of that policy, the LEA may assign students to work in the food service operation in such numbers as are agreed upon between the LEA and the FSMC.
Student Workers. An employee receiving an hourly wage for work performance who is enrolled in, on vacation from, or otherwise registered in a high school, college undergraduate program, or university graduate program and who has been hired into a student worker position.
