Enrollment in Classes During Working Hours. Employees may be permitted to attend academic courses during their scheduled working hours, with the approval of the administrative unit head, xxxx, or vice-president to whom they report. Time spent attending such courses shall be unpaid and in addition to an employee's regularly scheduled work week. All individuals enrolled in courses during scheduled working hours are expected to fulfill their assigned responsibilities and obligations.

  • Rejection During Probation (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.4. The test of just cause for rejection shall be a test of suitability of the probationary employee for continued employment in the position to which they have been appointed, provided that the factors involved in suitability could reasonably be expected to affect work performance.
