Exclusion Casual Employees. 3.04.1 Casual Employees are those who are hired on an hourly or honorarium basis to perform duties of a temporary, short‐term nature. This shall include only special research projects, membership mailings, and the following types of clerical work: data entry, telephone surveys, filing, assisting a regular Employee with administrative assistance functions, benefit‐plan administration, grievance note‐taking, and bargaining‐team note‐taking. It is understood that in a time‐sensitive situation the Staff Rep has the right to engage such Casual Employees after having made a reasonable attempt to contact the supervisor.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Casual Employment (a) A casual employee is an employee engaged as such on an hourly basis.

  • Potential Employees The Employer agrees to acquaint potential Employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-Off.

  • Essential Employees Every employee designated as “essential,” shall receive notice of such designation each year, by October 31, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 4A:6-2. Notice of such designations will also be provided to the Union.

  • Casual Employee Casual employee means a part-time employee who is not normally scheduled to work but who may be called in to work to provide coverage as required.

  • CULTURAL LEAVE FOR ABORIGINAL EMPLOYEES The Superintendent of Schools or their designate, may grant five (5) paid days per year leave with seven (7) days written notice from the employee to participate in Aboriginal Cultural event(s). Such leave shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Temporary and Casual Employees The provisions of this Article do not apply to Casual Employees, and Temporary Employees who have been hired in a position of less than six (6) months.

  • Provisional Employees A second year Provisional classroom teacher who receives a summative rating of 3- Proficient or 4- Distinguished may be granted continuing contract status for the subsequent school year at the district’s discretion.

  • Excluded Employees Employees excluded from the bargaining unit who work for an Employer signatory to this Agreement may participate in any of the foregoing benefits under rules and regulations established by the Trustees. The trustees shall determine the contributions required for such benefits.
