Exposure to Contagious Diseases. Whenever an employee is compelled by direction of a County-designated physician to be absent from duty due to an on-the-job exposure to a contagious disease, the employee shall receive full compensation for a period not to exceed eighty (80) working hours for a full-time employee or fourteen (14) calendar days for a part-time employee. If the absence extends beyond the applicable period, annual leave, sick leave, compensatory time, and/or vacation time may be used, at the employee's option, in that order.

Exposure to Contagious Diseases. A. Whenever an employee is compelled by direction of an Authority-designated physician to be absent from duty due to on-the-job exposure to a contagious disease, the employee shall receive regular compensation for the period absent from duty.
Exposure to Contagious Diseases. The Employer agrees to pay expenses for inoculation or immunization shots at a medical facility designated by the Sheriff for the employee and for members of an employee’s family when such becomes necessary as a result of said employee’s exposure to contagious diseases where said officer has been exposed to said disease in the line of duty.

  • Infectious Diseases The Employer and the Union desire to arrest the spread of infectious diseases in the nursing home. To achieve this objective, the Joint Health and Safety Committee may review and offer input into infection control programs and protocols including surveillance, outbreak control, isolation, precautions, worker education and training, and personal protective equipment. The Employer will provide training and ongoing education in communicable disease recognition, use of personal protective equipment, decontamination of equipment, and disposal of hazardous waste.
