Extended Shift Hours. When work is required to exceed the time in a scheduled shift and the work required in excess of the time scheduled is less than one (1) hour (hereinafter referred to as “Extended Shift Hours”), the employee working the shift will be offered the work first as an extension of the employee’s shift. Should the employee refuse the additional time, the Extended Shift Hours will be offered to a Regular Employee in that classification in accordance with 17.03.

  • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines:

Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.
