Common use of Family Related Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Related Leave. (a) Employees may use up to five (5) days of accumulated sick leave credits per fiscal year to attend to family related matters. Family related leave may be granted for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to: • caring for ill family members; • assisting dependant family members in attending at medical and dental appointments; • emergency child care (e.g. school snow days, unavailability of regular day care services, etc.) and • special family functions.
