Filing Requests. Teachers who desire a change in grade and/or subject assignment, or who desire to transfer to another building, may file a written statement of such desire with the Superintendent. Such statement shall include the grade and/or subject to which the teacher desires to be assigned and the school, or schools to which he desires to be transferred in order of preference. Such requests for transfers and reassignments for the following year shall be submitted not later than May 15.

Such statement shall include the category to which the employee desires to be assigned and the school or schools to which he/she desires to be transferred, in order of preference. (2) Employees who have previously applied for promotional or transfer opportunities shall be notified by mail of any openings which become available during the summer within two (2) weeks of the time the opening is known.
Filing Requests. 1. An employee who desires a voluntary transfer may file a request on the applicable form, available in the Human Resources Management Office (see sample - Schedule H).
2. During the school year, employees may file a request for a voluntary transfer only after the posting of a vacancy as provided in B. 1. and 2. above. Such filing shall be within five (5) school days, including the day of posting.
3. Employees who desire consideration for vacancies posted during the summer break shall file requests as outlined in Section F. of this Article.
