Filling of Vacancy. Any vacancy created by resignation, discharge, retirement, transfer or death during the school year (after July) may be filled by the Administration for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days, whereupon the vacancy will be posted for claim or abolished. Any vacancy created by a leave of absence may be filled by the Administration either with an employee on a "leave fill" basis or with an employee temporarily transferred to the position or a combination thereof. Employees temporarily transferred because of this provision shall retain their classification seniority in their former classification and shall not acquire seniority in the classification to which he/she is transferred.
