Fireplaces. Existing fireplaces are for aesthetic purposes only. For your safety, requests to use wood burning fireplaces must be submitted in writing to Wesleyan University. Approval to use a wood burning fireplace may be withheld at the sole discretion of the University if the fireplace is deemed not safe for use as-is.
Fireplaces. To reduce energy consumption Renter acknowledges that indoor gas fireplaces are not operational between June 1st – September 1st. If your cabin comes with an exterior wood burning fireplace specific instructions will be posted at the cabin regarding its use. Please note that absolutely no fire accelerant or wet or sappy wood should be used as this can create a fire hazard. Designated outdoor fire rings are located at each of our cabins. Fires are only permitted at these locations and must be contained within the fire ring. If you did not purchase firewood with your reservation, firewood may be purchased at most local vendors or through us directly (subject to availability). Fallen dead limbs may be used from the property; however, cutting down any limbs (dead or alive) is strictly prohibited. Please make sure any fallen limb taken from the property is dry (not green). Renter will be charged accordingly for disturbing any of the natural surroundings. Please help prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer and other pests by not bringing firewood from outside of the Hocking Hills area.
Fireplaces. Extreme caution must be used whenever using the fireplace(s) in the Rental Home. Please read and follow all in-home instructions for safe use. A starter supply of firewood is provided. If more firewood is needed, you may purchase from a local store or contact the Windcliff office to arrange delivery. Firewood delivery may take up to 3 days. Never leave a lit or smoldering fire unattended!
Fireplaces. Fireplaces are not to be used at any time for any reason.
Fireplaces. Seller will repair fireplaces that fail to operate as designed. During heavy rains, inside of firebox may become damp due to water entering flue which is normal.
Fireplaces. Wood is not furnished for the fireplace(s); you may provide your own wood and use them however, barring any burn bans. Be sure to check current conditions. Any fines levied for burning when bans are in place will be the renter’s responsibility to pay.
Fireplaces. There shall be no charge for turning on the outdoor gas fire place. There will be a charge for utilizing the indoor wood burning fireplaces according to the fee structure of PADUA. PADUA will turn on the outdoor fireplace only when requested by EVENT SPONSOR and only when patrons are utilizing the exterior patio in front of the fireplace. PADUA reserves the right to turn off the outdoor fire place during the Event if Patrons are mistreating the fireplace or acting in any way to the detriment of their safety or the safety of the venue.
