Fitter. Arc working as a one-person unit will install and connect Gas Stub Services up to 1” plastic. It is not the Company’s intent to have a one-person unit trench. It is, however, intended that installation of facilities requiring minimal excavation can be done by one person.

Fitter. Special Class means a Fitter has performed work away from a workshop in the Lift Industry in connection with the installation, major modernisation, servicing repairing and/or maintenance of lifts and escalators for a period of not less than two years shall be classified as Fitter - special class.
Fitter. Arc can work in a unit with one other employee to perform operations such as leak investigations or repair, remodeling domestic type meters and regulator sets. This is limited to: (1) Meter manifolds having connectors of four meters or less, (2) Domestic type meter and regulator sets were agreed to be those where meters did not exceed 300 cubic feet per hour.

Fitter. A Fitter is an employee who holds a trade certificate or tradespersons rights certificate as an: i. Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical) — Level I; ii. Engineering Tradesperson (Fabrication) — Level I; iii. or equivalent and is able to exercise the skills and knowledge of the engineering trade so as to enable the employee to perform work within the scope of hislher duties. In addition to these certificates, an employee will hold a valid boiler ticket and forklift driver's licence. The primary function is to ensure reliable operation if all equipment by preforming, but not limited to the following: i. Routine, planned and breakdown maintenance utilising the CMMS to record these activities and parts used; ii. Line changeovers, set-ups, project and continuous improvement activities related to the improvement of plant performance; iii. Operation of equipment and forklifts when required.

  • Moonlighting Employment as a physician in a professional capacity outside of what is outlined in this Agreement, whether temporary special medical activity (“TSMA”) or external moonlighting, must be approved in writing, in advance, by the Departmental Chair, Program Director and Director of Graduate Medical Education (or designee). Even if approved, professional and general liability insurance as outlined in Section 5.4 is not provided to Trainee engaged in external moonlighting. Trainee acknowledges he or she has the responsibility to obtain insurance for such engagement. TSMA and external moonlighting must be included and reported as part of Trainee's hours spent on clinical experience and education. Trainee shall not be required to engage in any outside work.

  • Catering Cafeteria style of serving meals will be acceptable, providing dishes are carried back by the Culinary Staff. The food shall be of good quality and have the approval of the Camp Committee of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario. There shall be sufficient housekeeping staff supplied by the Culinary Workers to keep the bunkhouses clean, and beds shall be made up each day by such staff. Kitchen facilities, equipment and food supplies shall be subject to inspection by the duly authorized Camp Committee at any and all times and further all grievances shall be dealt with by said Committee.

  • Footwear Where an employee is required by the College or by legislation, in order to perform his/her duties, to acquire and wear protective footwear, the employee shall provide the College with proof of purchase by March 1 each year and the College shall reimburse such employee, on the first pay day in April in each year, up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollar ($150.00). In situations other than the foregoing, the College may, in its discretion, (which discretion shall not be unreasonably exercised) reimburse such expense where it is recommended by the health and safety committee constituted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • Car 7.1 You will be provided you with a car of suitable age, make, model and specification during the continuance of your employment in accordance with the policy laid down by the Company from time to time and the Company shall pay all standing and running costs relating to it (including the cost of fuel for private mileage) but not any taxable benefit arising. You shall comply with all rules laid down by the Company in relation to Company vehicles, notify the Company immediately of any accident involving your car and of any charge brought against you for a motoring offence and, unless otherwise agreed, shall return the car to your place of work forthwith on termination of your employment.

  • Dewatering (a) Where the whole of a site is so affected by surface water following a period of rain that all productive work is suspended by agreement of the Parties, then dewatering shall proceed as above with Employees so engaged being paid at penalty rates as is the case for safety rectification work. This work is typically performed by Employees engaged within CW1, CW2 or CW3 classifications. When other Employees are undertaking productive work in an area or areas not so affected then dewatering will only attract single time rates. (b) Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, appropriate Employees shall assist in the tidying up of their own work site or area if it is so affected. Where required, appropriate Employees will be provided with the appropriate PPE. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected. (c) To avoid any confusion any ‘dewatering’ time which prevents an Employee from being engaged in their normal productive work is not included in any calculation for the purposes of determining whether an Employee is entitled to go home due to wet weather (refer clauses 32.4 and 32.5)
