Food Safety Certification. Member Agency shall meet the minimum requirement of securing and maintaining food safety certification appropriate to its distribution type.

If The Agency is certified through the online ServSafe Food Handler program at the time of this agreement, The Agency is considered in compliance. On the date that the online ServSafe Food Handler certification expires, The Agency will be required to complete the MANNA FoodBank Safe Food Handler for Food Banks course. B For On-Site Snack Programs: On-line ServSafe Food Handler Certification C For On-Site Meal Programs: Full ServSafe Safe Food Managers Certification, The Agency also agrees that if it utilizes food provided by MANNA FoodBank to make meals, their key food service program staff will meet local commercial food safety standards. The Agency is responsible for finding and funding this required course.

Food Safety Certification. The Partner Agency agrees that all staff and volunteers who regularly handle food will maintain current appropriate certification on file with MANNA FoodBank in safe food handling.
a. When certification expires, the Partner Agency is responsible for fees associated with re- certification. Failure to recertify by the date of expiration may result in account suspension until remedied.
b. In the event of a staff or volunteer transition, food safety must be renewed within 60 days. Minimum approved Food Safety training includes (by program type):
a. Food Prepared Off-Site by Neighbors/Pantry Programs: MANNA FoodBank Food Safety Training for Pantries Certification (provided free of charge and digital on-demand).
b. Food Prepared On-Site by Staff or Volunteers/Meal Programs: ServSafe Food Managers Certification or other comparable safety training curriculums approved by the food bank, such as NC Safe Plates for Food Managers through NC Cooperative Extension. At least one staff or volunteer who supervises all meal preparation and service must hold this certification. If you have multiple sites, at least one supervisor per site must hold this certification. The MANNA FoodBank Food Safety Training for Pantries video may be used for all other staff and volunteers.
Food Safety Certification. All staff and volunteers who handle retail food are now required to take MANNA’s Food Safety Training (FST), and the quiz to be certified.

The manager shall be certified as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager by the National Restaurant Association. The Concessioner is required to train all employees involved in food preparation in compliance with all applicable laws.

Food Safety Certification. The Agency will have at least one staff member or volunteer, who is consistently present during operations, complete training as a “Food Handler” or receive certification as a Food Manager. Training or certification can be obtained by attending the Food Manager’s Workshop/Food Handler’s Certificate training administered by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants Hospitality Education Program. Training as a “Food Handler” may also be obtained through the Safe Food Handling Class offered by FNEFL or xxx.Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx. Upon request, FNEFL may approve other sources of food safety training or certification from additional sources. The Agency must provide FNEFL with a copy of certification or training from any third parties.
