Foot Wear. The Company will pay a rebate of 50% of the retail price or 100% of the cost of repairs to approved protective footwear purchased or repaired by the employee for his own use in the course of his work, provided the employee first obtains a purchase requisition from his supervisor before making the purchase or repairs.
Foot Wear g) Full-time employees, who have completed one (1) year of service, will receive, within fifteen (15) days of their first anniversary date, a footwear subsidy of one hundred and thirty dollars ($130.00) which will be paid for approved footwear, summer or winter, acceptable to the Company. In subsequent years of employment, the Company shall pay the footwear subsidy upon submission of the receipt. By the sole option of the employee, employees will be given the ability to receive half of the amounts from the boot allowance upon submission of a receipt. The boot allowance will increase to one hundred and forty dollars ($140.00) in 2018, one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) in 2019, and one hundred and sixty dollars ($160.00) in 2021. Part-time employees must complete two thousand and eighty (2080) hours of service to be eligible for an initial footwear subsidy in the amount noted above. Part-time employees will receive subsequent footwear subsidies for each additional two thousand and eighty (2080) hours worked with a limit of one footwear subsidy per calendar year.
Foot Wear. Sneakers! With the exception of trips flip-flops and open toes shoes are strongly discouraged as they are a play hazard and lead to many falls and scraped toes.

After an employee has actually worked 480 hours the Company will pay an allowance of $115.00 (year 1), $135.00 (year 2), $150.00 (year 3) per calendar year toward the cost of C.S.A.-approved, hard-toed safety shoes (or boots) and/or repairs. This allowance may be accumulated over a two (2) year period to a maximum of $230.00 (year 2), $270.00 (year 3), $300.00 (year 4).

Any unused footwear allowance(s) will carry over for one (1) additional calendar year to maximum of three hundred dollars ($300.00). Footwear allowance will include boot repairing upon submission of the receipt. Part-time employees must complete two thousand and eighty (2080) hours of service to be eligible for an initial footwear subsidy in the amount noted above. Foot Wear. Effective January 01, 2015, the Employer shall provide a footwear allowance to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per year payable upon submission of a receipt by an employee for the cost or repair of safety shoes; which must comply with WorkSafe BC regulations (may carry forward for one (1) year to a maximum of two (2) years total).
