For Beginning Teachers. 3.2.1 A Consulting Teacher may be assigned to one or more beginning teachers to provide assistance. Priority will be given to teachers in their first two years in the district who are not eligible for the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Program.
For Beginning Teachers. 28 3.2.1 A Consulting Teacher may be assigned to one or more Beginning Teachers 29 to provide assistance if the Beginning Teacher is not receiving assistance 30 through BTSA or a similar program. In the first year the Consulting/Mentor Teacher shall concentrate the assistance in the area of the California Standards for the teaching profession. In the second year, the Consulting/Mentor Teacher will focus the assistance in the areas listed by the Administrative Evaluator as needing improvement. If none are listed, the Consulting /Mentor Teacher will continue building on the previous years work being done in the California Standards for the teaching profession.
